RFID login for Windows
WINTAGENTER allows you to sign in to Windows using an RFID tag. Your login credentials are stored securely on the local machine — with no cloud services, no password sharing, and no compromises.
Requires Microsoft .NET Runtime 8 (x64)
How it works
The user taps an RFID tag on the reader. The application reads the tag, finds the matching account, and the Credential Provider automatically signs the user into Windows.
- Each tag is linked to a specific user account.
- Everything runs locally on the workstation.
- No passwords ever leave the computer.
Security
Login credentials are stored in an encrypted file on disk using DPAPI (DataProtectionScope.LocalMachine). The file is readable only on that specific machine.
- Encryption bound to the specific device.
- Cannot be transferred to another computer and decrypted.
- The Credential Provider does not send any passwords to the server.
Licensing
The license is tied to a specific computer. The server is used only to verify the license validity — no user data or passwords are stored on the server. We offer several licensing options to match different customer needs.
- Free – one tag for one user on one computer, non-transferable license (for testing).
- Basic – up to 3 tags for one user on one computer, suitable for home use.
- Flex – up to 10 tags for 3 different users on three computers.
- Business – up to 100 tags for 10 users on 100 computers, ideal for small companies without restrictions.
- Domain – no limits on domain‑joined workstations, ideal for larger organizations.
- Individual – licensing tailored to the customer’s exact requirements.
Requirements
